Hi, I'm Laura, the maker behind Hygge Room. This is my little slow living world, made by hand here in the Norfolk countryside.

I grew up by the sea on Anglesey, in North Wales, surrounded by open skies, quiet lanes and sheep for neighbours. That's where I learned to love the slow things. Long walks, changing seasons, and the comfort of home.

Later I moved away for university and trained as a graphic designer. I've always been drawn to how things look and feel, to colour and texture and the small details that make something special. The fast pace of corporate work was never quite me though. I missed making things with my hands.

Hygge Room grew out of that. It began with candles, hand-poured in small batches from natural soy wax, each one a quiet ritual of scent and warmth. There's something grounding about the pour, the calm, the care that goes into every single one.

From there it keeps growing. Alongside the candles you'll find botanical prints and greeting cards, drawn by hand, with more homeware and gift pieces on the way. Everything made slowly, and made to bring a little calm into your home.

That's really what Hygge Room is about. Comfort, warmth, and a gentle reminder to slow down and enjoy the quiet moments that make everyday life feel good.
